Hightec Engineering Limited was formed in February 2007 by Managing Director, Chris Cass, to provide the aero engine industry with a reliable, high quality technical and product support service on a short term basis. We find this type of service provides our customers with flexibility in their own operation whilst being able to utilise our expertise and experience during relatively short times of peak demand or where the requirement is for short term project work.

Chris has been involved in the Aerospace industry for 23 years. Initially training and qualifying as an aircraft maintenance technician in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, Chris progressed through his service career qualifying as a Flight Engineer and flying as a crew member on the C-130 Hercules. Chris furthered his engineering study by graduating from the Central Institute of Technology in Wellington, New Zealand, with tertiary qualifications in Aeronautical Engineering.

Since graduating, Chris has specialised in aero engines. Over the past 12 years he has worked at the pinnacle of the industry as an independent contractor. Chris has provided the benefits of his experience and expertise to such companies as Rolls-Royce, Pratt and Whitney, Air New Zealand, Lucas Aerospace (now Goodrich Aerospace), International Aero Engines and Motoren und Turbinen Union (MTU) in Germany.
